Interactive Projection-Mapped Media "Ocean Plastic"
PlasticSphere presents ocean plastic pollution with interactive mapped media on a spherical shape. using depth camera to capture the movement of audiences and creating interaction between media and users.
The idea is to present the collective of trash that participants have created in a year
to make them feel guilt and aware of how much trash they have produced. Another idea is “We know the difference but they don’t” which means once the ecosystem is polluted by plastic, we as a human can distinguish between trash and food, on the other hand, the marine life is incapable, they eat or stuck in plastic waste due to their physical condition.

Instruction:
Walk into depth camera designated area, follow the voice and graphic instructions to interact with media.
Technical description:
Using depth camera “Kinect” to create an input from participants, the program will be on idle mode waiting for input. Once detect a subject the program will present a series of the graphic which consequences is connected to users gesture. and when users walk out the program will back to its idle mode.
Setup:
Including white air balloons on cylindrical base attracted with WiFi controlled LED strip light taking input from Mapping Software. 2 projectors pointing at air balloons and floor, and a depth camera “Kinect” to capture the movement of participants.​​​​​​​
