Design and development of location-specific iPhone games for museums, including Plymouth City Museum, UK, and the National Museum of Denmark. Created in collaboration with Dr Emma Whittaker.
Working like a treasure hunt, the game requires visitors to track down items held in museum collections within a time limit. The app utilised Bluetooth Low Energy 'beacons' to determine the location of players in relation to objects and rooms, using an algorithm I developed for the project.
The Lost Index has been presented at the International Conference on Interactive Digital Storytelling, Copenhagen, the Digital Research in the Humanities and Arts Conference, Greenwich, London, the National Archives DCDC conference, Salford and The Archivist as Intepreter Conference at the British Library, London.
It was nominated for a Media Innovation Award in 2015.
