Final Fantasy VII has been one of my all time favourite games, specially because of its beautiful and full of meaning and feelings soundtrack. As the Remake released, I was so excited to hear the brand new re-orchestrated versions of the tracks, and they didn't let down.
One of my favourite songs (which I played on the piano for a while now) is Tifa's Theme. So I decided to reharmonize, rearrange and produce it again by myself and with my own style. Then I gave it a try on the actual video game with a little bit of a FMOD adaptive music and a linear sequence so you can hear how it fits the video game. hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!
Tifa is ultra charismatic and her theme evokes nostalgia and home-sickness, as well as strength to keep going forward when you lose it all. So I tried to mix both feelings together starting over a major key just like the original track but then moving to a stronger and impactful minor mode, making chord and instrument swaps as the track progresses.
All instruments were selected/designed, played and recorded by me.
