Problème / Problem
Dans le cadre des 2 années de formations au Design Produit, je serais amené à utiliser plusieurs matériaux, mais avant de décider quel matériaux pour tel projet, il faudra manipuler afin de choisir les bons matériaux. Dans cette perspective je vais me retrouver avec de nombreux échantillons. Afin de les retrouver facilement, il serait intéressant de pouvoir les trier dans une boîte.
In the 2 school years of Product Design, I'll be brought to use many materials. Before deciding which one to use, I will have to touch and feel them. In this perspective I will end up with many samples. In order to find them quickly, it might be interesting to sort them in a box.

CONTRAINTES / Constraints
Il nous a été demandé de créer une boîte avec 8 compartiments, afin de bien organiser nos matières ainsi que des outils qui pourraient nous servir. Notre projet devait être impérativement en bois, afin de tester nos capacités de conception avec ce matériau.
We were asked to create a box with 8 compartments, in order to organise our materials samples and tools. Our project had to be in wood, to test our capacities with this material.

RECHERCHES / Research
J'ai choisi de partir sur une forme de caisse à outils classique (tout à droite). Mais ce design là ne correspondait pas à la demande. Alors je me suis remis à dessiner des idées pour trouver une boîte qui répondrait aux contraintes.
I have decided to go for a classic toolbox shape (first from the right). But this design was not fitting right with the demand. So I went back to drawing, to answer to the constraints.

Final / Final
Le fait d'avoir une ouverture par le dessus est un gain de temps lorsqu'on doit choisir un matériau.
The top view opening allows to find materials easily.
