Compost’Âge is an association based in Poitiers which aims to raise awareness and support for sustainable development, mainly through activities related to composting. On this project, they called on me to support them on their branding and communication. The creation of their visual identity was both the starting point but also the founding element of the project.

Compost'Ãge est une association localisé à Poitiers, qui a pour objet la sensibilisation et l’accompagnement au développement durable, principalement par le biais d’activités liées au compostage. Sur ce projet, ils ont fait appel à moi afin de les accompagner sur le image et leur communication. La création de leur identité visuelle était à la fois le point de départ mais aussi l’élément fondateur du projet.

My thinking was focused on the first letter "C" in order to develop a strong symbol representing at the best the association.

It is an emblem illustrating the organic life cycle through the growth of a plant from its root to the leaves. A pictorial representation with the aim of highlighting the process of vegetal transformation, from birth to recycling, thus allowing to nourish, enrich the soil and give life again.

My typographical work was oriented on a Latin font with serif “OFL Sorts Mill Goudy”, whose soft serifs and the shape of its characters perfectly refer to the vegetal aspect.

Ma réflexion s'est portée sur la première lettre "C" afin de développer un symbole fort pour représenter au mieux l'association.

C’est un emblème illustrant le cycle de la vie organique par la croissance d’une plante, de sa racine jusqu’aux feuilles. Une représentation imagée ayant pour objectif de mettre en lumière le processus de transformation végétale, de la naissance à son recyclage pour permettre de nourrir, enrichir les sols et donner vie à nouveau.

Mon travail typographique s’est orienté sur une police de caractère « OFL Sorts Mill Goudy” qui est une latine avec serif, dont les empattements doux et la forme de ses caractères évoquent parfaitement l’aspect végétal.
