This is the final logo I ended up pitching to Southern Resonant Beer company.
These are my alternate roughs that I came up with before pitching the final logo. The last one is the prototype that originally became the final pitched logo. The idea was to pitch a new age, or tech type feel in order to convey the thought: "This beer is the beer of the future!" Ultimately the more robotic cicada didn't look enough like a cicada so I changed it to a more recognizable cicada design.
This is the brand standards manual I wrote for the proper usage of the logo. It covers everything from the brand attributes and why I made the design decisions that I did all the way to a few brand extensions and some mock ups of what the logo would look like if it were to be placed on some merchandise.
