DISCLAIMER: This was an independent university project to practice book design, illustration and branding. 

The objective of this project was to select three books that were not in a series, and illustrate new them into a new book jacket series. Immediately I selected Life of Pi and The Jungle Book, as the tiger came to mind when I thought of these books. I had also selected The Tiger Who Came to Tea, however it was difficult to arrange the text and create an appropriate texture. Life of Pi features waves, The Jungle Book features leaves, and I thought that the third book should also feature a natural element. After doing some research I remembered William Blake's poem: 'The Tyger' which described a tiger as 'burning bright'.
