The basis on which work should be light, but at the same time resistant because has to bear the weight of the plaster.
I tried to implement it in wood but was too heavy.

Then what to do?

I pick around pieces of cardboard thick enough
I cut them into strips
and glue them together
so I create a support of three layers
I flatten the support under a press (very) homemade
then retrieving shoe boxes: the cardboard is thin but very strong
I get from the boxes of small rectangles
I glue them on cardboard backing
a rectangle after another
then I look for the pieces of cloth
I cut them into small rectangles
and with hot glue i glue them along the edge so as to tighten the three layers of cardboard and card stock
now the base is almost ready
the cover it with white color mixed with glue
a layer of white, two layers, three layers
and here is the canvas ready
