From the final three mockups I ended up choosing the first, because I thought it demonstrated the concept the clearest.
Final choice
How It Demonstrates the Concept:
- Difference of fonts (strong, linear, capitalised, defined lettering of the “con” VS. the slanted, looping, lowercase, cutout lettering of “trast”)
- Red (bright colour) VS. black/white of rest
However, despite choosing the first for its clarity in message, I felt that the third was perhaps the strongest.

- It uses a grid to establish the pattern then breaks it
- Organic swirl VS. structural squares
- Red (bright colour) VS. grey/white tones
