The Proposal

Challenge: The business development team came to marketing for help with an opportunity to partner with AARP. We had to show we were a stable enterprise with something compelling to offer them, and their customers. Online lending was still relatively new, and the LightStream brand was not well-developed at this point. 
 
Solution: We put together a 33-page proposal, excerpted here, that put a stake in the ground about who LightStream was, and what we had to offer. We explained the benefits to AARP and to their customers, and established our brand narrative as the emerging leader in online lending. 

Result: While we ultimately did not partner with AARP, this document was foundational to our brand story going forward. We did partner with many market-leading firms, including Kelley Blue Book, NerdWallet, Mecum Auctions, PoolCorp and many others.
