"Vecchi Tempi " è un'opera teatrale scritta nel 1970 dal drammaturgo britannico Harold Pinter.
Descrive il potere che i ricordi hanno nel condidionare la vita dei protagonisti: Kate e Deeley, coniugi da venti anni, e Anna amica della donna. Attraverso un complesso dialogo ricco di flashback, viene ricostruita la fitta trama dell’amicizia fra Kate e Anna, riapparsa dopo venti anni sconvolge la loro fiducia reciproca e le sicurezze fra marito e moglie.

Il primo atto è ambientato nel soggiorno della casa di campagna di Kate e Deeley, in una notte di inizio autunno.
Su un piano rialzato ovaliforme sono posizionate delle pareti trasparenti,simboleggianti l'ermeticità dei segreti che di li a poco verranno svelati, che creano un percorso all'interno della scena. Sul fondo si alzano le grandi ed alte finestre dalle quali la luce della luna filtrerà illuminando la stanza.
Poltrona e divano altro non sono che parallelepiperi bianchi.
I colori delle pareti, della moquette, l'arredamento estremamente minimalista, essenziale e spigoloso ricordano l'atmosfera che si respira dentro le stanze dei dipinti di Hopper.

Il secondo atto è ambientato nella camera da letto. La struttura della scena rimane fondamentalmente come nel prima atto. Il muro centrale adesso diventa nero, poichè dietro vi è la doccia, e come arredo rimane un parallelepipedo bianco che altro non è che il letto dove gli attori si appoggeranno durante la recitazione.

On a mezzanine floor ovaliforme are positioned transparent walls, symbolizing the hermetic of the secrets that will be revealed a little later, creating a path in the scene. On the bottom there are the big and tall windows will filter the moonlight lighting up the room.
Armchair and sofa are nothing more than white boxes.
The colors of the walls, the carpet, the furniture extremely minimalist, essential and angular reminiscent of the atmosphere inside the rooms of paintings by Hopper.
