Buckle up and put on your coveralls, this was a fun one full of energy. We partnered with Motive for Lily's Sweets to produce a series of visuals for their Indulgence Reinvented campaign. The project required six unique splash compositions and flavor cues for 4 chocolate bars, baking chips and peanut butter cups.
Our approach started by building a splash library for the main builds that went around the packaging. Splashes going left, right, up, down, and around the package. We had our lead retoucher Sierra with us in the studio working on the rough comps so we could be sure we had all the major components needed. From there we shot the flavor cues and got them loosely positioned in the compositions. From there we knew what detail splashes we needed to capture so the integration of the flavor cues into the surrounding chocolate would be seamless. Lastly, adding extra shadowing and highlights helped push the depth and layering of each component.

Retouching Note
In retouching, the chocolate builds were a delicate balance of creating something that felt natural yet artful, random yet organized, and fun yet classy. We had a ton of splashes to choose from to make this a reality.
