2013 Rolls Royce Margaret

The Margaret project is born with the idea create a new model for Rolls Royce that would mix an classic “silhouette”, with contemporary lines that still respect the brand’s image.

The concept aims to recreate the classic four door from the 40’s / 50’s: A long front contrasting with a short back, making the central volume look smaller and “pushed” to the back. As a result, the car looks fast and sporty, being still a four door.

This project aims as well to find a younger image to the Rolls Royce vehicle. The purpose is to fit the Rolls Royce range to a younger market, communicating its tradition with a younger design language.
The bold design with soft surfaces provides a younger look to the car, but the classic Rolls Royce features are still present: a robust body, the big front grill and the chromed details are the main examples of this intention.
The bicolor option is the bridge between traditional vehicles and contemporary vehicles. Thanks to the simple design, both traditional and vivid colors are considerable.

The presentation colors schemes are the metallic grey/blue + platinum silver, for a traditional look, and a dark metallic red + bright white for a younger image. The interior is still under development.

A challenge to myself as someone who tries to learn automotive design. The idea came up, and I decided to take it.
