IOHA HIV Awareness Posters

IOHA @ UJ OFFERS MANY SERVICES AND PROVIDES STUDENTS WITH THE MANY BARRIER METHODS AND PROTECTION FREE OF CHARGE.
My inspiration (mood page) inspires me because of various reasons: the types of colour used in all these previous advertisements for a pill, the different ways of advertising pills and making it creative eg. the PrEP pill as a suitcase travelling with you to your destination, could imply that the pill can go everywhere/ anywhere with you.

The first two (2) images of my mood page captured my attention because of the colour palette and this is what I want to achieve with my posters.

I used this inspiration because when making a poster about PrEP and PEP I want to make it creative and not your ordinary pill campaign posters as well as have a play on words that match the focal point of the poster.

CONCEPT 1                                                  CONCEPT 2                                           CONCEPT 3
CONCEPT 1: The idea for concept one was to show that PrEP and PEP should become a "norm" in society and people should have complete access to it. When people talk about HIV they shouldn't only talk about all the negative but they should talk about the ways in which you can protect yourself from HIV. The focal point of this concept is people of different backgrounds all having access to these pills.
CONCEPT 2: The idea for concept two is that PrEP and PEP are there to fight HIV and make living easier knowing that there is a pill out in the world that will help you live an active lifestyle sexually.
CONCEPT 3: The idea for concept three is to show that infected or not you can still live a sexual lifestyle while protecting yourself and the people you are/become involved in.
For my chosen concept, the focal point is the pill (PrEP/PEP) and it is fighting along side you (the viewer), even though the viewer has to do the work of making sure you are safe and taking the pill when you required to, PrEP/PEP are fighting too. The pill isn't the one in charge of making sure you have all the prevention, the viewer has to do their part and their part is taking the pill and seeing the pill as a superhero.

Split Complementary Colour Palette                                   Analogous Colour Palette
After careful consideration, I decided to resubmit my 2 posters and change my colour palettes.
Split Complementary Colour Palette                                   Analogous Colour Palette
In both posters the focal point is the pill used to prevent and protect people from HIV. This pill is the focal point because people should see this pill as a hero and something that protects them.

PrEP YOURSELF! is the main text in both posters (primary) and LET PrEP & PEP FIGHT WITH YOU! is the secondary text in both posters. this was achieved by making my primary text bigger and bolder then my secondary text.

The reason for my final posters is to show that their is a way to fight for your health and prevent yourself from getting HIV/AIDS but also, there is a pill that will fight with you as long as you are consistent and take the pill when it is supposed to be taken.
