Flowers under the snow

The first forest spring flowers in our region are the Siberian Squill (Scilla siberica). As soon as the snow melts, these flowers form a solid blue carpet under the trees. They do not bloom for long: until the leaves begin to bloom on the trees. It often happens that spring snowfalls fall when this flowers is already blooming. These flowers are not afraid of snow. As soon as the snow that covered the flowers melts, they rise and continue to bloom.
