In 1962, the 32 year-old photographer Bert Stern was the last person to photograph
Marilyn Monroe on behalf of Vogue, six weeks before she died.
Just days before her death, Marilyn received the final photographs from Bert Stern
and "X-ED" with a red magicmarker the ones she didn't like.
This act of denial with a simple doodle was our inspiration.
