Stringfellow & The Butterfly (Web Series)

A three-part mini series that centres upon an amorphous, androgynous, woollen character I created called Stringfellow. Stringfellow lives on floating islands that are rich with luxurious foliage and Pareidolia.  Their companion through this strange world they find themselves in is a Yellow Butterfly. I drew a great deal of inspiration for the characterisation and content of these pieces from Tove Jansson, Alan Watts and David Firth.
IMAGE ONE: A hand-drawn illustration of the Stringfellow character standing on top of a floating island holding a yellow butterfly in its paw. The island is lush with grass, plants, and trees, with butterflies flying around the scene. Transcription: "But what happened to caterpillar?"
IMAGE TWO: A hand-drawn illustration of the Stringfellow character sitting on a swing held aloft by a tree on the edge of a floating island. Butterfly watches from the side. Transcription: "How did you come to be so beautiful?" Asked Stringfellow. "The sheer joy of it," replied Butterfly.
