Energy 1, oil on paper, 32,8 x 43 cm
This painting is the first of the series "Energy". The paintings in this series should radiate motivation through their expressive color combinations. They are powerful and of course abstract.

Energy 2, oil on panel, 13 x 18 cm
It is the second painting from the "Energy" series. The painting board used has already been used once. The old motif was sealed with acrylic binder, several layers of gesso created a new painting surface. The paintings from this series exude a certain dynamic. I painted it pasty and set highlights with a copper paint.

Energy 3, acrylic on panel, 13 x 18 cm
It is the third painting from the "Energy" series and the first to be painted in acrylics. The painting board used has already been used once. The old motif was sealed with acrylic binder, several layers of gesso created a new painting surface. The paintings from this series exude a certain dynamic. For this painting I also used a craquelure medium that created small cracks in the paint in the lower green area.

Energy 4, mixed media, 30 x 60 cm
With this painting, the Energy series is completed for now. There are 12 paintings in total, making it my largest series of paintings to date. I couldn't work on this painting for many months, was so dissatisfied with the painting process that I had to scrap my idea to refocus on the painting. But it was worth it. What is shown is an abstract landscape with many different structures and textures, which makes the painting so interesting. The color combination is also exciting, at least for me, because I would never have thought of creating a painting with these colors. But I like it very much and I've learned a lot. I will use much of what I have learned in other paintings in the future. I used the following materials: light acrylic modelling paste, fine coarse-grained structure paste, acrylic paints in English Red, Oxide Black, Rose Deep, Indigo, Sky Blue, Naples Yellow Red Light, Titanium Buff, Titanium Buff Deep and Titanium White, gloss gel, sand from the beach, alcohol, acrylic ink in Titanium White, ink in Carmine, Indigo, Cyan Blue, Violet and Burnt Sienna.

Energy 5, acrylic on panel, 13 x 18 cm
The "Energy" series continues. Even if the fourth painting is not finished yet, I want to present the new paintings. Energy 5 is an acrylic painting that has an elevation in the painting caused by tissue paper. The color combination - Payne's Gray, Titanium White and one color - has proven itself once again. Similar motives will follow.

Energy 6, mixed media on panel, 13 x 18 cm
It is the sixth painting from the "Energy" series - a mixed media painting in which the elevations were created using modeling paste. Acrylic paints from Reeves were used in the colors: Titanium White, Medium Gray, Sand, Mars Black and Viridian Green. In the painting I see a seascape showing a rocky coast where fog meets.

Energy 7, acrylic on panel, 13 x 18 cm
Like Energy 5 this painting has got its elevation caused by tissue paper. I`ve used the following earth tones for painting this abstract desert motif - Naples Yellow Red Light, Titanium White, Light Oxide Red + Oxide Black.

Energy 8, acrylic on panel, 13 x 18 cm
Less is sometimes more - those were my thoughts when I set the golden highlights. In my mind the painting shows a magical coral reef or maybe the sunken golden city of Vineta? I used acrylic paints in Indigo, Sky Blue, Payne`s Grey, Permanent Violet Opaque + Antique Golden.

Energy 9, mixed media on panel, 13 x 18 cm
Energy 9 is again a painting from the Energy series with reduced colors in Oxide Black, Titanium White + Indigo, but still expressive and powerful. It shows an abstract mountain landscape in a downpour.

Energy 10, acrylic on panel, 13 x 18 cm
This small painting shows a golden island in the middle of the sea and reminds me of the saga about the golden city of Vineta, which sank in the sea. Unlike the other paintings from the series, Energy 10 does not show an abstract landscape, but rather goes in the direction of surrealism. I used the colors Sky Blue, Titanium Buff Deep, Titanium White, Naples Yellow Red Light, Payne`s Grey and Antique Gold.

Energy 11, mixed media on panel, 13 x 18 cm
Another painting of the Energy series is finished, and there will probably be more to come. Even if I once said - after 11 paintings it's over. With this painting I had more work steps than with all previous paintings and I learned a lot again. What is new here is the addition of ink and acrylic ink as an alternative to acrylic paint. Energy 11 shows an expressive abstract landscape that the name "Energy" suits very well. I used acrylic paints in Greenish Yellow Light, Mauve, Deep Rose Opaque and Titanium White; acrylic ink in Iridescent Bright Gold and ink in Violet, Carmine and Burnt Sienna.

Energy 12, mixed media on panel, 13 x 18 cm
Energy 12 is the last painting in the Energy series, but not the last completed painting.  This painting is made a bit simpler compared to Energy 11 - fewer steps were taken. It shows a seascape, of course -- a top view from deeper to shallow water, with textures suggesting what might be beneath the water's surface. For this painting I worked with a homemade structure paste, acrylic paints in Cerulean Blue, Deep Turquoise and Iridescent White; ink in Cyan Blue and Indigo; acrylic ink in Titanium White.
