3D Motion
After Effects
In the shot, the jacket should be represented and shown from each side. The special thing about 3D motion design is that a new material can be applied to any object in seconds.
For this shot the logo of the brand has been used. It should represent the lightness and aerodynamics of the jacket. A "cloth simulation" in Blender was used for this.
This allowed us to create the blow-up effect.
At first, a rounded logo was created, but since there were always problems with the simulation, I decided to rework it.
Balls with different materials of the jacket and shoe fly at each other and bounce off each other.
The idea here is to express the dynamics, and also to use this shot as a transition between different clips.
It was created with the help of rigid bodies and a force element that first attracts and then repels.
The balls roll over the track in an unknown direction.
In the work, the balls are part of the process of creating the garment. They carry the materials of the jacket and the shoe and are meant to visualize a manufacturing process.
The animation of the balls was done by keyframing the individual objects.
This image was originally intended to be a tree, as seen here, which was to express the brand's closeness to nature. This was then later revised again, because the tree would not have fit into the scenery and the rock.
The fabric represents the lightness of the jacket while carrying the materials of the shoe.
Originally, the animation was created with Marvelous Designer. But since the export from Marvelous Designer to Blender brought all kinds of errors with it, it was realized again in Blender.
The Rigid Bodies in this Shot fly up through the tubes. The openings react to the set keyframe and thus let the balls rise upwards.
The North Face logo was recreated and animated in Marvelous Designer.
The jacket flies around in a dome. Two fans create the wind. This scene was meant to express the dynamism and lightness of the products.
The animation of the jacket was done through Marvelous. The export to Blender messed up the normals of the object and thus created nasty shading problems that could not be solved.
The colors of the products are reflected here.
In this shot, different techniques were used to create as realistic an image as possible. The stones were scanned using photogrammetry and placed in the scene. The scenery itself was created with Gaea, a sophisticated and modern terrain design software. The photorealistic sand material was realized with Substance Designer.
Various tapes move. The elasticity of the jacket is illustrated.
Here, the effect in the image was achieved using different force fields and a cloth simulation.
