VANS SK8-HI sneaker advertisements
EXPLICIT DESIGNS - Using clearly stated language and imagery, the following design is a straightforward, unambiguous advertisement for Vans' SK8-HI range with the main image simply introducing the shoe and the year it was introduced. It was created in Illustrator with a mix of stated of shape and text manipulation and then finished off in Photoshop.
IMPLICIT DESIGNS - With the following designs, the intention was to show how Vans and skate culture are intrinsically linked. The phrase Ride Or Die means to be extremely loyal to someone or something and this message is backed up by combining imagery of skaters and sneakers as part of a whole. Sneakers were designed in Illustrator and photo manipulation was done in Photoshop.
