Playful posters for Kids

INTRODUCTION
We being Indians, and our official language being Hindi, we still struggle a lot in conversing with each other in that language, especially with older people with Hindi numbers.
With technology advancements and regular online learning, it has become more difficult for kids to grab Hindi words. Families, friends, acquaintances, more than 70% of them today, converse with kids in English.
According to a report by BBC, India claimed to be the world’s second-largest English-speaking country, There is absolutely nothing wrong with it though, in fact, I do believe that a language such as English that is so widely used for translation globally is only benefitting the newer generations as well as the country by opening more business opportunities. Several articles also state the (potential) harm of introducing a first language that is a non-mother tongue when the child starts to speak.

Building a strong base since childhood can only make it better and easy for people to continue it in adulthood with ease.

PROBLEM
Many parents around the world who want to teach their child Hindi, feel like they have somehow failed as -
*  Nothing can hold a kid's attention for too long.
*  Parents find it difficult to find new activities that are playful and educational for kids.
*  Kids find it difficult to learn two languages, especially counting
*  Grandparents find it difficult to conversate with their grandson or granddaughter

SUGGESTIVE SOLUTIONS AND ITS BENEFITS
Playful interactive posters for kids to have fun and learn
*  Parents can be satisfied, that the kid is not bored all the time, they come and goes and have a look at a poster, also they
find it engaging to play with.
*  Learn and play with Hindi numbers and alphabets, along with Hindi and find a connection between both Hindi and English
   numbers and alphabets
*  Being multilingual may help kids to improve multitasking
*  It will be easy for grandparents to conversate with their grandson or granddaughter

LOGIC FOR COLORS
The first thing that came to mind while choosing the colours for the posters was that it should look attractive and colourful with some bright colours.
I did some research to understand kids psychology what they feel about different colours. A lot of research has been done on this which says young children are attracted to warm, bright colours as it brings happiness and comfort. Children spend more time looking at bright colours.
THERE ARE SO MANY BENEFITS TO LEARNING HINDI
1.  Due to its vast number of speakers, Hindi is considered to be the fourth most-spoken language in the world, behind languages such as:
*  Chinese       *  Spanish; and      *  English.
2.  Unlike English, Hindi is a phonetic language. This means that the words in Hindi are pronounced just as they are written down. So it’s just a case of learning how each letter sounds and learning the Hindi alphabets more generally, and then people can say almost any word they come across.
3.  Having a second language under anyone's belt can not only help their work prospects, but it could also improve their memory and skills such as multitasking.
4.  Speaking with locals about their favourite dishes and past-times, even conversing with the shopkeepers
5.  Being able to read famous works of literature, whether they are novels, poems, or plays

KNOWING HINDI NUMBERS AND ITS IMPORTANCE
Counting or the numbers in the Hindi language are called ‘गणना or गिनती’ or ‘Ganana or Ginti’ and therefore a lot of people search for the phrase ‘Hindi Ginti.’ Hindi Numbers are very different from other number systems since they don’t follow a format that can be easily explained. They use partial suffixes added to words but language rules change the pronunciation of each number drastically in some cases, which is why many people even in India find it difficult to learn and memorize. Especially, for children, this is very helpful because, in the primary classes, they need to know these numbers.

Taking a situation of walking into a shop, if someone doesn’t know the numbers then how will they know how much to pay for something?!  Just like in English there are numerals 0,1, 2... Hindi has its own set of numerals too, they look a bit like funny squiggles! They are still used today so it’s only right.
