HEALTHY AND EMPOWERED YOUTH MURAL
In the summer of 2012, the H.E.Y. Project celebrated 2.5 years of working on the Shoshone-Bannock Reservation by painting a mural on the southern wall of Timbee Hall, the tribal gym located in the heart of the community. I collaborated with my students to design and paint this 600 sq. ft. mural, which features four H.E.Y. Project students and serves as a reminder to stay healthy and positive. 25 students came out over five days to participate. This photograph shows the wall, before and after.
IS YOU HAPPY? MUSIC VIDEO
This is a music video I created with the HEY Project in the spring of 2011. It features the original music of two HEY Project students, Shawn Running Horse and Telson Jake, and was shot during one Saturday afternoon. The music video became a YouTube hit (it currently has over 5,000 views) and went on to screen at several film festivals.
