The purpose of this project was to explore multiple digital tools and dimensions, drawing inspiration from the Nietzsche quote, "we have art in order not to die of the truth". This piece functions as a temporary escape from the increasingly stressful reality of the world. To accomplish this, the music combines a steady, calming beat with an organic, flowing melody that allows for peaceful meditation. The imagery comes from panning over three images produced using Adobe Photoshop by layering photographs, textures from oil pastels, paint, and thick applications of color using the brush tool. One of the three images is a combination of the other two to provide a smoother transition. This should create a similar effect to the music by remaining consistent throughout without ever quite repeating. 

For this project I had to learn how to use GarageBand. Additionally, I used oil pastel, watercolor, photographs and digital painting to create the imagery. The final product was edited using iMovie.
