Let's see what happen when in a digital clock you replace numerals with images?

It creates an interesting flow of collages of the different photos that make up the numerals in the clock (10 images, one for each numeral). The project challenges our notions and representations of time as well as notions of moment. There are many ways to play with the concept and each will give a different visual response. The choice and the rhythm of the photography that composes the clock is a key part of the experience as it determines the final visual composition and the experience that you want to express. Each photograph has its own flavor, shuffled in the clock as time ticks on, they create new images with new tensions. The combination of past moments to create new moments is also very interesting to me. It gives a new dimension to the photographs used in the clock and invites question about the collage itself and about how to visualize time or what time should look like.

Nota: I am using a Greenwich clock template. That is why 10:00 pm is 22:00.
I took an Europeen clock, because it gives room to more images and more collages.

Sample of time

How Does It Work?

Each numeral is replaced by an image.
Time is a mix of all the images and it creates collages. Here is the "cut" of image by numeral. To see the full image of each numeral, you need to wait the right time when all the numeral of the image are a part of the time. I like to wait for certain time that i found visually very cool (you have a sample of those above).
Their is many many ways to play with the flow and to create variation of collages.
This is one version, but the spectrum of possibilities is endless....
