A painting for a wedding present, 24" x 24" oil on wood of a tree being twisted in the wind. The wind manipulates the branches of the tree as they brush the rest of the canvas making an equally weighted piece. Colors chosen for the piece are yellow for highlights, while shade and shadow are depicted by a midnight blue. The base of the tree is done in a magenta red, with a subtle highlight in a ruby red. Background of the painting was kept untouched by oil paint to preserve the wood. No brushes were used to, only pallet knives to add emphasis of the tree bark.
