The history of typography is filled with memorable male designers. However, if one searches online for women’s contribution to the profession, the results are disappointing.

This is not to say that there aren’t many women working in typography, but rather that it is an industry that has long underestimated its female members.

That’s why I wanted to celebrate designer Amber Weaver the founder of Femme Type, which is a platform seeking to «celebrate type designers who identify as female».

It was then important for me as a Graphic Designer in Art Direction, to highlight the FEMME TYPE platform by proposing a monthly magazine about several female type designers and revisiting the visual identity designed exclusively for the magazine.
