The Unequal Burden of the Pandemic:
Why the Covid-19 Hits the Poor the Hardest
In 2020, we had the opportunity to design this publication in two languages, spanish and english, for the Inter-american Development Bank (IDB).

The concept is based on inequality interpreted as imbalance.

We represent this concept graphically with a geometric composition that shows a series of circles (the load) that fall and crowd in the lower right part of the cover, generating a feeling of movement and dynamism and at the same time creating the feeling of imbalance with the upper end left where there is less load.

We have got a pretty fresh but serious look for the publication.
Regarding the inner pages, a proposal is made for a single column and a column
side to integrate figure captions and footnotes. As well as section separators that
graphically integrate with the cover proposal.
Maps and charts continue with the color palette.Photographs are shown in black and white toned in blue as visual breaks.
