Lost is a series of 35mm film and packaging I designed, as a visual representation of a journal I wrote for seven days. During this time, I found that I was constantly questioning my career choice as a graphic designer, hence the title of this project was a reflection of my state of mind. So, what do I do when I'm "lost in design?" I go back to what I know well, photography.

Each package of film contains one roll that represents one day of my journal.  Inside is a 35mm canister with positive film that has both the day's entry, and accompanying pictures. I designed this based on a transitional serif typeface to metaphorically represent my concept of being in transit as a designer;  evolving from a novice to a committed student, and one day a professional. Times ten was used since it is made to be legible in small text, and Gotham was the complimentary logo typeface. The packaging was kept minimal with certain basic elements of film packaging kept, while others slightly manipulated to suit the content. For example, I replaced the iso and exposure count with the date of my journal. On the actual film, I also personalized elements, such as the two nouns you see on the bottom, which we were required to come up with for each day.
