J BRIDGE – PHANTASMAGORIC SYNTAX
Bridge is a large scale sculpture.

The bridge is a poly-symbolic structure. Each symbol has a polysemantic meaning. (Each symbol is explained in the theoretical elaborate).
This bridge stands as a symbol of Dialogue. Dialogue that we have with ourselves, dialogue between two people, dialogue between two countries etc. Proto-Dialogue. Archi – Dialogue.

As with any dialogue, this one has two sides as well. Two sides to a story. Two opposing sentences. Two polarities of one singularity. The Balance.
Sentences are composed out of three terms (concepts) that reach their pinnacle at the middle of the Dialogue. Three is a symbolic number that represents a number of things. Three is one of the most used numbers in all religions. Three stages of life (young-adult-old), Three is the first number to which the meaning “all” was given. It is The Triad, being the number of the whole as it contains the beginning, a middle and an end. The power of three is universal and is the tripartide nature of the world as heaven, earth, and waters. It is human as body, soul and spirit. etc
At the middle of the dialogue (as the “terms” grow), there is the principle (the circle). Circle (as a formative principle) is the modular visual tool. Every form on the bridge is derived out of the Circle. The Circle is the main geometrical form. The Circle symbolises the neverending process.
Two Ideograms (roof garden), are a symbolic image of dialogue designed in the cubistic style. Two faces, opposite each other, must exchange half of their “faces” with another, in order to be complete. This is a connotation of our incompleteness, and dialogue as a cure for our imperfections. This is the macro-map of our journey of life, always in the lack of something.
