By introducing *cultural social service* (Maatschappelijke Diensttijd / MDT), the Dutch government wants young people to discover and develop their talents and potential by helping others in society voluntarily. An encouragement to meet, discover, learn, talk, care, interact and create social impact.
The *Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science* appointed *Studio Lennarts & De Bruijn* to design their entrance right across from *The Hague* Central Station with the purpose of introducing this concept to the Dutch people. We've created a clear functional distinction between the outside and inside. Catching the eye from a distance while going into more depth when you move inside.
