The delicate sublime collection of Rami Al Ali was presented at the sumptuous Hotel Meurice. I never passed on any occasion to visit Le Meurice and certainly not during Paris Fashion Week. Several days earlier I received the beautiful hand written invitation to Rami Al Ali's haute couture presentation. It was the first time I'd heard of this designer and so off I went.

After eight years of taking part in Paris fashion week I grew to appreciate the presentations more than the actual fashion shows. Presentations are to me a photographer's dream. You have time and space in which to shoot as you choose to. And naturally this being Paris, champagne was flowing! 

This was the first of three Rami Al Ali presentations I attended. The Meurice was a beautiful and fitting backdrop for this presentation of gorgeous gowns.
