Inwave —  advanced radioelectronics

Inwave team consists of engineers who create equipment for wireless communications, antennas and meters. Radioelectronics can be used in various equipment from cell phones to medical appliances.

Once they decided to go global, they asked Plenum to help them renew their brand. A new brand was meant to sound international but remain close to Russian clients.

The new visual style should convey the confidence and audacity of the brand while looking trustworthy and solid.

We looked at the screen of a microwave device and immediately had an idea about the new identity: it should be based on grid and gradient. Grid would stand for structure and engineer thinking, gradient — for company’s quick development, resourcefulness and team’s flexibility when working with clients.

Gradient reflects wave motion that is measured by the company’s equipment and, thanks to its dynamicity and variability, it can be scaled for different types of templates and animated for digital.

Faded blue was replaced by a brighter shade complimented by deep black. The new colour palette added to the brand's premiality, scale and confidence and prepared it for marketing.

It was important for us to render several devices and show them against dark and light backgrounds from the same angle to ensure all products would be demonstrated this way.

We paid additional attention to packaging and made it look expensive and neat. As part of the project we also refreshed numerous manuals and technical documentation.

As a result the client received a convenient brand book that described all visual identity elements, photostyle, rules for templates, merchandise ideas and packaging design.
