Dyeing In - Frame Loom Weaving

Dyeing In is a woven piece inspired by Indigo dye (clicked at Ajrakhpur). Indigo dye appears to have a multiple shades of blues. It has a certain amount of shine and iridescence. It also starts forming bubbles as it comes in contact with the air to ferment. Inspired by a picture of indigo dye showcasing all the above elements, I have attempted an woven piece made with hand spun and machine spun silk yarns in various shades of blue. I have also used grey yarns and bits of double tone fabric to give a look of shine and the iridescence. I have woven in the big circles resembling to the bubbles formed on dye surface.
