Jocelyn's 10th Birthday Portrait
Backdrops, flashes and props! Oh my!
So I went from shooting with only available light and high ISO settings with Tragically White to shooting with backdrops and a flash kit for my daughter's 10th birthday portrait. I am trying to expand upon an idea of combining multiple poses into one image. This time I wanted to show my daughters accomplishments and hobbies and I wanted to make sure that the exposures were close to each other.
I always shoot RAW so I took each one through my RAW workflow in Photoshop and then started masking and combining the images into one large composition. The final size (not the one below) came out to be 6180 X 3344.
Finally added the background elements with brushes, custom shapes and text elements. Added some more curves and a final photo filter and there you have it.
