Adobe Live -
Facing your fears through digital art

On March 10th and 11th 2021, I had the absolute pleasure in taking part in an Adobe Live stream. During those two days, I created composites based on the feelings of anxiety which I had around doing the streams - this was something extremely out of my comfort zone and in many ways... my worst nightmare! BUT sometimes we have to push ourselves right? I actually ended up really enjoying myself, the community was extremely supportive, and if any of you fine folk get the chance to do this too, I would say to definitely go for it!
Day 1

For this piece I wanted to create a scene which gave form to my anxiety, so I decided to use a dragon to display this as the decorative fire elements would also give life to the chaos and negativity I was experiencing in my head. I was however conscious not to go too over the top with the dragon as I needed the scene to feel like the girl (me), had some sort of chance of winning!
Day 2

Going in the opposite direction of day one, I wanted to create an image in contrast to the first which showed the feelings of me wanting to retreat back to my own 'space' where everything was calm and peaceful.
Assets / brushes, other notes

All the assets used in these edits are from Adobe Stock, you will be able to find them searching the reference numbers in the bottom right corners... (apart from one overlay which you can download from my website www.leahjackson.co.uk.

Like most people i've accumulated brushes over time but this is one pack which I always default to https://evenant.com/concept-art-brush-pack/

At one point during the chat, we also spoke about an Adobe Max session I attended in 2020 (blending the physical and digital worlds). You can check that out here :)
