Starting in 2016 I began periodically opening for commissions on my twitter. With a 30 day turnaround and a short list of what I wasn't interested in drawing, I opened the floodgates to a sea of imagination. I started with descriptions ranging the gamut from extremely specific visions to vague suggestions. My clients also ranged from experienced art buyers to people shopping on a whim; it's never predictable but it is surprisingly intimate and rewarding. Personally messaging someone with a piece and immediately receiving an excited response is an interaction that doesn't occur within more formalized spaces.
