Bachelor’s Degree collection
This collection has been designed for an hypothetical Alexander McQueen’s sub-brand, named “RE by Alexander McQueen” (“RE” represents the typical prefix of sustainability, as in “RE-cycle”, “RE-use”, etc.). The garments, conceived for the Autumn/Winter season, are made with wasted fabrics, that grew from cut wastes of previous fashion operations or from rag-pickers, who sell wasted fabrics of enterprises.
The collection recalls the typical lines of the brand Alexander McQueen, that emphasizes the seduction of the woman’s body, and shows numerous asymmetries in shapes, to stress the harmonious and, at the same time, opposing coexistence of both Alexander McQueen and Sarah Burton’s souls in projects.
