Honourably Vulnerable: Group Exhibit
Thursday, 7pm to 11pm
822 Dundas Street West, Toronto, Ontario

In many ways, we as a population have been conditioned to react to different stimuli through a system of learned behaviours based on past experiences. Our minds connect emotions to each new situation in life often prompting a negative or positive predisposition to future events and habits of responding. While habits can help us achieve our goals, they can also hinder our progress; these are considered bad habits.
Honourably Vulnerable focuses on the psychology of socially unacceptable habits and its effects on the various areas of a person's life. This exhibit will showcase the vulnerable side of the human experience. Each artist will have the opportunity to unearth areas of their subconscious while exposing aspects of their personality that often remain hidden. In this particular case we will be exposing the negative to allow for personal growth through therapeutic outlets. A wide array of artistic mediums will highlight the chaotic nature of the human psyche. Thus, the exhibit itself becomes a statement about the unpredictability of human nature.
During the opening night, we will be selling prints. With the sale of each print, we will be giving a portion of the proceeds towards 2 charities (Princess Margaret Hospital and The Fort York Food Bank). This will allow for further benefits created from the exhibit, showing that good things can occur when we are allowed to reveal our darker sides.
