The image below is the before picture. The image was provided by my professor.
Filmslides
The objective of our first assignment in Raster Graphics is to fill a minimum of 25 empty slide frames and experience the importance of selection, inverse, layer management, canvas size and the text tool.

The required footer also exposes us to Image size vs Canvas size and how the megabytes of a file changes depending on resolution.

The before picture of the filmslides was provided by my professor.  We had the freedom to choose our own images to fill the film slides above. I used unsplash.com to acquire all of my images.
Key Objectives and Photoshop Features:
Image size
Canvas size
Text tool
Rectangle tool
Paint bucket tool
Layer naming and management
Importing images into Photoshop
Scaling images in PROPORTION
Sizing an image based on specifications
Free transform feature
Selection tools (polygon lasso)
Inverse selection
Background texture and coffee cup image were acquired from the STOCK IMAGES server with permission.
Layers Mode
We were required to choose a textured background and an image of our choice. We then made a grid of our image so we could experiment multiple times with the different layer modes through Adobe Photoshop.

I chose also experiment with different extra layer modes. For this I chose a short word to see the effects on.

Key Objectives and Photoshop Features:
Creating a grid
Layer Naming and Management
Images being scaled proportionally
Text tool
Applying different layer modes

Filters
We were required to select an image. We then created our own grid over the image using ruler guides. Then each section of the grid, we were able to select a different filter of our choosing to transform the image.

Key Objectives and Photoshop Features:
Using the ruler
Creating own grid using ruler guides
Text tool
Layer Naming and Management

Surreal- Puppet Warp
For this assignment, we chose an image that would be easy to remove the background. Then we learned how to apply the puppet warp tool.

Key Objectives and Backgrounds:
Managing and Naming Layers

Environmental Change
For this assignment, we were given an image. Using the clone tool, we had to add three more roads, cover the road in five different areas with trees, and add 8 more cars.

Key Objectives and Backgrounds:
Managing and Naming Layers
Clone Stamp Tool
The top picture is the one I created using images from UnSplash and Flickr. The lower image is a cut out from a magazine provided by my professor.
Copy Cat Magazine Ad
For this assignment, we were able to choose from different magazine ads. Once we picked our ad, we had a goal to recreate it to the best of our abilities using the skills we had learned during this semester. We had to have the same dimensions has the original ad. I used the E Scale to measure the text on the ad to make sure that was exact.

Key Objectives and Backgrounds:
Managing and Naming Layers
Quick Selection Tool
Content Aware Fill
Polygon Lasso Tool
Text Tool
Paint Bucket Tool
Direct Selection Tool
Rectangle Tool

Original Image was acquired from UnSplash.
The original image is on the left side and the edited image is on the right.
Portrait Retouch
For this assignment, we were instructed to choose an image from the list provided by our instructor. After choosing the image, we then sectioned off half of the image to edit, and the other half to keep as the original. Using the skills we have learned in the class, we tackled editing the image to make it look better (in my case retouching wrinkles, cleaning up his beard and eyebrow, brightening the eyes, and evening his skin-tone). One thing we had to keep in mind, was making sure it still looked realistic even though we had done some retouching.

Magazine Cover
For this assignment, we were instructed to create a magazine cover. We had to focus on hair selection, which is one of the more difficult skills in Photoshop. Our requirement was to have the hair cover part of our title. I chose a birthday theme for my magazine because it was my birthday the week I created it.

Russell Brown- Face Off
Russell Brown is a well-known and talented Photoshop master. He had a competition a couple of years ago to give him a "costume". He provided an image of himself for everyone to use and it was up to the editor to pick who they wanted to photoshop him onto. For our assignment, we were instructed to do the same thing, create a seamless image of Russell Brown and the person we chose.
Key Objectives and Backgrounds:
Eraser Tool
Clone Stamp
Polygon Lasso Tool
Quick Selection Tool
Blur Tool
Managing and Naming Layers

Tattoo Assignment
For this assignment, we were told to find an image that showed enough skin to put tattoos on. We then had to cover at least 95% of the body in tattoos. Using different opacity, blending modes, and transform tools, we had to make the tattoos look like they could really be real. We had to include some text tattoos that we typed ourselves, and some color tattoos that we used the brush tool to color in ourselves.

Final Project
For this assignment, we had to take at least six images and seamlessly fit them together to create one. We had to create a "surreal" scene that could only exist by using a software like Photoshop. We had to use a minimum of twelve different Photoshop tools/skills. After making our "surreal" image, we then put it into a mock-up that was provided by our professor. I chose the book mock-up. This assignment was a great project to capture all we had learned in the class and able to demonstrate all the still we had learned.
