Aesthetic Engineering:
The new cargo port at Sjursøya is developed with emphasis on both function and aesthetics.
The new service building, with names Skur 84 is a design of NAV Architects AS, which has given the building "a distinct expression to communicate with the seaside harbor setting." Concrete facade are decorated with patterns, and in the evening, parts of the building illuminated from the inside out which will appear from the sea.
Skur 84 is nominated for Oslo bys arkitekturpris.
Oslo City Architecture Prize is an annual civic pride award given building or landscape plants that help to elevate, develop and renew the aesthetic quality of the place. Criteria for awarding Oslo City Architecture Prize 2014, given to all kinds of structures and sites within the city limits. Construction projects must be from 2013, landscape projects from the period 2009-2013.
