Overview
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is a professional space for the aerospace engineering field. The AIAA is the United States representation for the International Astronautical Federation and the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences.
This logo design was a project for Cal State University of Long Beach’s (CSULB) AIAA club. The logo was to replace the club’s old logo and to also be used on club merchandise such as t-shirts. I wanted to illustrate aspects of aeronautics and astronautics as simply as possible in the logo. The aerospace engineering field is a complex and detailed, so I had to decide what aspects I wanted to work with and design with.
