Discovery Asia Channel Rebrand


Working in close partnership with Discovery Asia, we embarked on a 6 month journey to transform Discovery HD World channel to Discovery Asia. A channel that brings you on an in-depth journey of Asia at its best.

We designed the channel brand identity from the logo, typography, colour system and information hierarchy to develop a fluid on-air tool kit that visually communicates simplicity with a contemporary Asian sensibility to millions of viewers from across the Asia-Pacific region.




A logo that emphasised on the message of RE Discovery. The graphic mechanics aims give the brand a sense of Discovery. It's like opening a pandora box of rich Asian content within the channel. 




Asia is not only the largest continent in the world, but it is the continent with the most number of languages, cultures, and people. We want to express that diversity using a series of blend colours instead of primary colours that might allure to specific cultures in the region.




We worked with the client to identify a series of visual vernaculars reflecting contemporary Asian sensibilities, resulting in the creation of a series of animated 3D assets for the on-air toolkit.




The concept of the 3 animated idents are based on 3 aspect of contemporary Asian culture - Spirituality, Economical Growth and Culture.
