For this project, I picked the following 3 words to create this collage of images: Rebirth, Inhibited, and Triumph.

REBIRTH:  To further expand this word associated its meaning with resurrection,  rejuvenate, recover, cleanse, and free. With those words in mind the images that popped into my head were: Jesus/cross resurrection, sun/clouds renewing the day, Phoenix rebirth, fire cleansing, water, and the moon cycle.

INHIBITED:   I associated this with the words: stop, guard, slow down, and prevent. The following images came to mind: danger sign, police, caution tape, brick wall, chain, handcuffs, and cell bars.

TRIUMPH:  This was my favorite word.  To expand upon the word I interpreted it as: celebration, joy, win, God, and overcome. The images that came to mind: heart, cross, balloons, high five/hand raised, jumping, runner breaking the finish line tape.

My favorite image is the dominant one where God breaks Hannah's, the main character's shackles.  She then breaks through the crime scene tape and jumps over the wall/railing in her escape from those unjustly trying to detain her. Before I started working on this I decided to make it a statement piece for the injustice occurring in the black community, specifically, a tribute to all the black men, women, and children who lost their lives due to unjust violence.
