Carnival of Venice
The city was crowed by tourists who came to seeits carnival. Everybody I had the opportunity to be talking to said that theywere amazed by the charming atmosphere and they were, in fact, enjoyingthemselves.
The city’s architecture is astonishing with alot of narrow streets going through old façades illuminated by old fashionedlamps. Water corridors crossed by little bridges which interconnect pieces ofland. The well famous gondolas, boats and other small water transport means canbe seen everywhere in this city where cars cannot get into it.
To be there was a great experience and I’ve gotto say that the food, as it is in the whole country, is gorgeous.
As many people, I was convinced that it wouldbe great living there and I was convinced that, If I could, I would chooseVenice to be my city, or at least a place to spend a long and long time, asLord Byron did.
But, for my surprise, many months after I visitVenice I met a guy from there who was living in Brazil to attend university. Iwas told that for the young people who live in Venice, the city is actually alittle bit boring and after the carnival time, it looks sometimes as it was aghost town. There are many old people, he said, and the night life scene forthe young is very limited. For him, Treviso is much better (very near toVenice), and there are many parties going on.  In his case, He used to not have a car and becauseof it, very hardly he could get out to enjoy the night.
I would never think of it, maybe because I wasthere when the city was full of tourists.
But anyway, there are tastes for all kinds offlavours in this world and I´m sure that someone in Amsterdam, for example, wouldprobably be very tired of so many parties and be interested in quieter placesto live....
Bellow You can find the way the city inspiredme and what kind of colours and light I could get into my pictures. I hope youenjoy.
