Showcases are omnipresent mirrors of urban societies. Colors of these reflective paintings are carefully applied by an enormous brush held by our invisible hand, since we are the painters just as much as we are the buyers.

«Strøm» is an interactive light installation located inside an empty shop window. Cameras capture and track passing visitors using neural networks and reflect their movements and behavior onto the light columns inside the window. The constant interplay between the visitor and the installation creates a feedback loop that influences the way we perceive the storefront. It resembles the way we, as shoppers, shape the landscape of the store windows, but are also manipulated by them.
Exhibited November 2020 to March 2021 at the Circle Flughafen Zurich.
