Trump's abandoned casino in Atlantic City was blown up
Donald Trump's abandoned casino was destroyed in 20 seconds in a series of controlled explosions, The Guardian reports. A lot of debris remained from the building, which will be removed only by the beginning of summer.
Parts of the building may have been later used to build an artificial fishing reef off the coast of Atlantic City.
The remaining few buildings that make up the Trump Plaza hotel and entertainment complex will soon be demolished using heavy equipment.
The Trump Plaza Casino and Hotel Complex opened in 1984. During the financial crisis in 2009, Donald Trump lost control over him during bankruptcy proceedings. And in 2014, the casino was closed to the public. Two years later, in 2016, the bankrupt casino was acquired by billionaire Carl Icahn.
Recall that in Poland, eight casinos of the American operator began to work after a two-month break, introduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
