On Creative Ecologies:
A Sonic Essay
Rather than stick to the tired forms of slide decks, data sets, and academic posturing, for our mid-term thesis presentation, my collaborators, Hannah, Miriam, and I created this sonic essay for our peers and faculty as a way of materializing our research to date. The piece reflects on the ups and downs of the creative process, collaboration, and the possibility of drawing connections between disparate and incomplete lines of inquiry. The sonic essay was followed by a live participatory 'coda' in which we prompted the audience to reflect their own creative processes and inner critics through playful questions.
