At Midnight is a Chinese restaurant design in an existing building. My concept for the restaurant was the enlargement of the Chinese Icons. I took the iconic lantern and porcelain and turned it into a seating object and wall texture.

The seating lantern hangs above a platform surrounded by water. Water is the symbol of life in the Chinese culture. Water stands for peace, observation, and reflection. When all these elements come together it creates a unique and relaxing dining experience. The outside world will disappear while dining.
