Through the project we want to develop the processes of learning and creation. of memory through the same method that uses our mind during the creation of it. Machines that invite reflection on the concept of recovery and protection of collective memory, within a future increasingly technological and full of data. The analogical process that composes the mechanism of the different machines wants to be the starting point for a new way to use and preserve our data, in an era in which information is no longer used to increase knowledge and improve it, but mainly for economic and political profit.

The project born form 5 hypothetical machines, with different themplates, but is important to emphasize that each machines are only suggestions, because each community can be change the machine for the ideals considers fundamental. The goal of the machines is to memorize ideas and concepts through a mechanical process, which helps to elaborate a specific theme. The point of the machine is not to find a solution to the storage problem, but to find a new point of view to help our minds remember. As in real life, we capture elements, objects, and using a precise scheme we assemble them to extract data, so the machine wants to help us remember.

After the assimilation of the content presented by the machine, each of them will present a transmission code with which it will be possible to spread the message even more. What does the transmission code consist of? For the final stage of the whole process, the user will be asked, according to the rules, to sign a sheet placed inside the module. The sheet presents a simplified scheme of the mechanism, composed of a series of circles that must be filled with the elements underlined by the machine. Highlighting the circles corresponding to the elements that the user has produced will put in writing what he/she has seen inside the machine.

The decisive part of the project is based on the location of the machines. Since the machines are already modules that can be moved, the location determines and defines the final reflection of the entire design and research development. In order to emphasize our life patterns, the machines have been placed in familiar/popular/touristic environments, such as Villa Adriana, as opposed to environments that have characterized our new life processes, such as Amazon warehouses or Data Centers.
