MOTHER EARTH FILMS conceived and filmed a SHORT titled GRAVITY OF FAITH
This 3minuter football novella discovers the intense determination and faith of a football coach, 83-year- old Rufus D'souza and a young footballer Glenn Barried in the sport football.
Filmed in Fort Cochin,a coastal region of southern India.
Filmed with real footballers.
Coach Rufus is a spirited force who trains young footballers in Parade Ground,Fort Kochi,Kerala.
Destiny never favored Rufus.His parents had sent him a telegram in 1954, and asked him to comeback home to take care of his ailing parents.He received the telegram while he was attending selection trials for Mohammedan Sporting Club in Calcutta.
Rufus reclaimed his football life by training young footballers in Parade Ground,Fort Kochi for past 40 years.
